Always love teaching in the UK with the wonderful team at the Nikon School in London. Great group of photogs and instructors, who really go the extra mile to make sure all the participants have a terrific experience. It’s November and we are heading back! The wrinkle this year is the new Z series cameras, the 6 and the 7, have debuted. I’ve been doing a lot of Speedlight work with them, and having a great time, with the usual amount of controls one has come to expect from SB-5000 TTL wireless flash.
New Workshop! Thursday Nov 29 – High Impact Portraiture
Stunt performers in a nuclear government bunker? Cool! A first for me in this location and shooting someplace new is always a shot in the visual arm. We are venturing outside of London to Kelvedon Hall Lane – never been to this area – and looking forward to working with dynamic subjects on the move, as well as accomplishing some intense portraiture. Nikon School UK is keeping the class very small and hands-on. Will have some Z series gear for folks to try out so it will be a great day. Will also have an ample supply of grip gear, and, as usual, Lastolite light shapers.
Our Saturday workshop is sold out, but spots left as of right now in Friday’s London workshop at the Nikon School.
Friday Nov 30 – Possibilities with Portable Flash
Always enjoy teaching at the school in London because it’s a great location where we can literally spill out on onto the streets. London is just that kind of city. It’s enormous, and bustling, but you can also find quiet places to stage and shoot. Also, the classes have been terrific because Annie and I get to see some familiar faces of photographers that we enjoy seeing each year – really cool. And, this year, just after the class we do a podcast in a pub with a pint with Dave Clayton and Glyn Dewis, on their He Shoots, He Draws broadcast. What could go wrong?
Amber joins the class again in addition to two other great new models.
It’ll be a great three days in and around one of the most wonderful cities in the world, London. More tk…..
