In Friends at 5:40am

Earnie Grafton, who as I mentioned the other day is a long time bud, former military shooter, and currently a staffer at the San Diego Trib, made an, uh, adjustment on my soft box the other day. Earnie! It’s spelled “numnuts!”

One of the reasons to hang in this business as long as I have is to be blessed with talented, wacked friends…..enjoy the weekend everybody!

More tk….

Haha, that’s just epic! Oh please nag Lastolite a blittle bit more to put out a limited “Numbnuts” edition, I’d pay double prize to get one :)

A sense of humor will get you everywhere… :)

Excellent! Definitely a good mate of yours.

But who’s the NumNuts now? Doesn’t help dispel the myth that us snappers can’t spell though.

Keep up the excellent work Joe,

When can we expect the “I’m with Numnuts” tee shirt with stick figure?

Bob says:

Joe – this is fabulous! Great branding!

Hey! That must be that new unpublished model, still in the testing phase I suppose? They should make this a special edition. I also like how you are sprawled out in the drawing there….

Mike Mahoney says:

I can see it now… a complete line of Numnuts photography equipment… followed by a cartoon series and action figures!

Lorri E says:

Joe, isn’t it interesting how many people know that Numnuts with a stick figure is really a reference to you. Maybe Lastolite should change the new line to have Joe McNally on one side and Numnuts on the other.

Kurt Wall says:

I’m totally down with Numnuts© Brand Lighting Equipment. That idea has wheels. 😀

I think having a sense of humor and being a touch crazy makes for better creativity, and the fun helps breaks up the stress in this tough business.

Thanks Numbnuts!

BTW, I’m glad you own that nickname now. You are the singular numbnut and I’m safe… for now.

Joe McNally says:

Numb (num) 1. Insensible, as from excessive chill. 2. Stunned, as from shock.
Nuts (nuts) adj. Slang. 1. Crazy; insane. 2. Extremely enthusiastic.

Your honor, I rest my case…
